Our Try Scuba (Discover Scuba) dives are built for complete beginners: a shallow, sheltered shore dive with full gear included, a thorough pre-dive briefing, and a NAUI-trained professional beside you for the entire dive. If you can swim casually and are in reasonable health, you can try scuba.

Junior certifications start at age 10 for Open Water and several specialties. Full certifications generally start at 15, and leadership-level courses like Assistant Instructor and Divemaster require you to be 18 by the water phase of the course.

No. Gear rental is included in our dive packages, and course pricing is discussed up front so there are no surprises. As you progress, we're happy to advise on what's actually worth buying first, most divers start with a mask and fins that fit properly.

Every course here follows NAUI training standards in full, and your instructor is a certified Rescue Professional with over eleven years of teaching experience. You'll also learn the self-sufficiency and buddy skills that keep diving safe long after the course ends.

Yes. Every course on this site can be booked as a completely private one-on-one program, and that's how most of our teaching happens. Private groups of friends or family can also book together.

Try Scuba is a single guided experience: one shallow dive with an instructor beside you the whole time, no certification and no homework. The Open Water Scuba Diver course is full training, knowledge development, confined-water skills, and a minimum of four open-water dives, that ends with an internationally recognized certification card letting you dive with a buddy anywhere in the world. Many divers do a Try Scuba first and credit it toward starting the course.

Everyone completes a standard diver medical questionnaire before training. If nothing on it is flagged, you're good to go. If a condition is flagged, or you're enrolling in a leadership-level course like Divemaster or Assistant Instructor, a physician's approval for diving is required, dated within the last twelve months for leadership candidates.

Yes. Soft contact lenses work fine under a standard mask for most divers, and prescription masks are widely available if you prefer. Mention it when you book and we'll sort the right mask for your training.

If it's been a long break, we'll start with a short refresher: a skills review in easy, shallow water before joining regular guided dives. It usually takes a single session, brings the muscle memory right back, and means your first 'real' dive back is actually enjoyable instead of stressful.

The Mediterranean here is at its best from late spring through early autumn, when seas are calm and visibility is at its peak; prepaid dive packages run through the summer season. Courses and their academic or confined-water portions can be scheduled more flexibly around the year, always adapted to sea conditions.

If you plan to do more than one dive a day, or you keep hitting your no-decompression limit before your air runs low, yes. Enriched air extends allowable bottom time and shortens surface intervals, and the certification is honored at dive centres worldwide. It can even be taught alongside your Open Water or Advanced course.
